DETAIL
Amorphous Core

Linkage Electric produces high quality amorphous cores according to customer specifications using Hitachi Metal (Metglas) amorphous ribbon 2605SA1 and 2605HB1M for single-phase and three-phase distribution transformers. Epoxy coating on the two edges of the finished core makes it mechanically rigid.

By adopting amorphous metal cores, core losses are significantly reduced compared to conventional CRGO designs, resulting in higher transformer efficiency, lower operating temperatures, and improved long-term energy savings. These characteristics make amorphous core transformers especially suitable for utilities and industrial users aiming to lower lifecycle costs and support energy-efficiency or carbon-reduction initiatives.
